  Kiwis

Kiwis have been in the news lately. The place is
getting a bit of fame for two things: art and
antisemitism.

Here's a picture of New Zealand's national bird:

Here's another New Zealand bird:

The one on top looks silly.  But is probably smarter
than the bottom one.

Shazam!! Meet the Rt. Honorable Helen Clark, prime
minister of New Zealand (and queen of silly birds?).

Clark has had her hands full lately, what with the
country being overrun by Mossad agents in pursuit of
kiwian passports. Uriel Zoshe Kelman and Eli Cara may
not be from Mossad - it is more probable that they are
garden variety criminals - but that doesn't keep the
PM from hotly demanding an official apology from Israel.
And of course, on the heels of the official outrage with
the pesky Israelis, there's a Jewish cemetery being
vandalized.

So we read that "New Zealand.. has no history of
antisemitism, with only occasional acts of vandalism
against Jewish buildings". Thank goodness! Only
occasional antisemitism!

Meanwhile, looking into the prime minister's
background, I came across the curious story of
Clark and the arts. It's a strange one, and sort
of makes you wonder if it's a spoof or not:

Prime Minister Helen Clark will not face criminal
charges for signing an artwork she did not paint,
despite a police investigation establishing she has
a case to answer.

If true, the story describes a person with a weird
relationship with reality. Take it with a grain of
salt or garlic or something.

But then again, there's this:

ACT New Zealand Arts, Culture and Heritage
Spokesman Deborah Coddington demanded that
Prime Minister Helen Clark explain just why she
thinks it's a good idea to spend $500,000 on a
port-a-loo that makes donkey noises, and then
explodes, in the name of art.

Now, Ms. Coddington might want to consider the
possibility that this patriotic artist and the
artistic PM had a clever plan to draw even more
Mossad agents out of the woodwork. $500.000 is
pocket change in this context - uncovering the
sinister Israeli capabilites being built into
a common software interface:
